Jammies campaign on again at Counties Manukau
As the weather cools down and winter approaches – yes, we know that’s kind of depressing – the teams at the Middlemore Foundation and Kidz First Hospital are gearing up for a big push in 2024 to bring joy and good health to thousands of tamariki in our community.
It’s a Kidz First Christmas
On Friday, 15 December, Kidz First hosted a Christmas party in their main reception where staff could come along, listen to carols, see Santa, and donate gifts towards the Middlemore Foundation Christmas appeal.

On Thursday, 30 November our Patient Experience and Engagement team, with the support and generosity of the Middlemore Foundation, get together to throw a Christmas party for our volunteers.

Knitting a community together
The Middlemore Foundation Wool Programme has been going for 23 years, with over 2,000 dedicated knitters nationwide lending their knitting skills to the Counties Manukau community. Knitters donate beautifully knitted booties, hats, mittens, vests and blankets to keep premature babies and newborns in the hospital and the community warm.
Giving young people a good health experience
The Kidz First Community Centre for Youth Health is holding a series of Youth Health Workshops to help clinical staff improve the way they provide health services to young people.
