I write in response to your Official Information Act request, which we received via a partial transfer from the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) on 30 May 2019, under Section 14 of the Act. The Ministry advised you that they do not hold the information to respond to questions 2 (a) and 5 of your request, and they had been advised that this information is held by the District Health Boards (DHBs). You asked the following questions:
2.(a) How many psychologists are in paid employment within the various DHB's in-patient mental health services?
5.What psychological services are funded by the Ministry of Health where apsychologist needs a Masters Level, or higher qualification?"
For mental health services provided by Counties Manukau Health, a response to each question is below. We note that other mental health services provided across the Counties Manukau community may also employ psychologists, and /or receive funding for psychological services.
